C: \ WINDOWS \ SETUP.LST invalid line in setup information
I hope you are well...!
since 4 days I am looking for this error message, unfortunately so far in vain...
This is a small piece of software (Old), but tried it under all Windows, I get this error and setup is aborted ?! I am currently using Window 10, but the same error occurs with the other Windows (Virteull) ...
It would be great, if You could help me ... Thanks for your time and see You!
Sacha!
Thank You!🙏🙏🙏

Hmmm,
1. What is this software you're trying to install called? - EDIT: EasyBestell?
2. You can enclose a file's contents or code in special tags for readability (use the "#" button in the toolbar when posting a message.
3. The attachments in your second to last post don't appear to be available.
Re: C: \ WINDOWS \ SETUP.LST invalid line in setup information
Hi Peter,
I also added an error message as a text! all pictures are the same message, but tried to make it readable
Yes with all Windows comes the same error..
Thank You!
Re: C: \ WINDOWS \ SETUP.LST invalid line in setup information
I am afraid not, just for clarity, has the software ever worked and what version of Windows was involved? EDIT: I reread your post and noticed something about "trying it on all Windows", so I guess the answer to my own question is no. I am sorry, but I am beginning to feel unable to be of much help without more detailed info.

After (Shared) is supposed to be a date/timestamp, but you'll see that the date has an extra "field", if you will. Make a backup copy of setup.lst, and then remove the extraneous "/10" from that line so that it looks like this instead:
Save that change and try again. Beyond that, there really isn't a whole lot that we can do, since none of us here wrote that software or built that installation package.
Re: C: \ WINDOWS \ SETUP.LST invalid line in setup information
I don't see an error, all I see is a mostly blank screen with the MDAC setup titlebar highlighted.
I don't think MDAC needs to be installed on Windows 10, but I'm also not sure how to properly adjust the installation package to not install it. Perhaps it is just removing the entire "File1=" entry under [Setup1 Files], but then I'm not sure if you need to reorder all the "File#=" entries below it so that the list starts from 1 again and goes sequentially.

Above right (Microsoft Data Access Components 2.0 Setup) after a while it says:

Make a couple phone calls to people who you haven't talked to in a while just to check in and see how they are doing.
Re: C: \ WINDOWS \ SETUP.LST invalid line in setup information
Hi All,
i have the same issue with Sacha2020, when trying to run the setup, which works on Win_XP & 7, BUT not on Win10.
I got the same error --> Invalid line in setup information. i have changed the "date" and "time" format to match the file script, BUT still got the same error message.
Any idea, what could be the issue with the installation on Win10 OS ?
Thanks for Your Help.
