report is asking for sql db password everytime it opens. Anyone who can sort this out.

Try switching the connection to "Windows Authentication".
Please remember next time...elections matter!
It is a good option but I dont want that.
Maybe you could use ODBC?
The real answer is that you should be setting the authentication, including the user and password on the report and all subreports ... -tg
