Resolved [RESOLVED] Command Prompt not Running AS Administrator

    Hi VB6 and earlier Forum:
    My OS is:
    Windows 10 Home
    Version 2004
    Installed 9-11-2020
    OS Build 19041.508

Command Prompt will not respond to "Run as Administrator".
Command Prompt will respond to the ordinary mouse click.

    Any comments?

If this is a VB6 related question, you've done a poor job of explaining how VB6 is involved with what you are trying to do.

    Hi Frenzied Member:
Actually, I should have declared an "ALERT". I searched the Forum for a more appropriate place to post my problem. No, this does not involve VB6. I certainly did not intend to be offensive.

Thread moved to general PC because it sounds like you're talking about an OS problem. You're really not being very clear, though, and I doubt you're going to get an answer from the information you've given. Where are you seeing the "alert"? Is it coming from an app, from Windows, something else? And what do you mean by the command prompt not responding to a mouse click? The command prompt isn't meant to be responsive to a mouse click, it responds to the keyboard.

I'm afraid the information you've given doesn't really make sense.

Kinda curious. How was this resolved?

Sounds like you were saying that either "Run As Administrator" was disabled or selecting that opened the command prompt, but not as administrator. Like others, not exactly sure what the issue was.

Re: [RESOLVED] Command Prompt not Running AS Administrator

    Hi LaVolpe:
The "Resolved Feature" is I worked my way to C:\windows\system32\cmd
I then right clicked cmd and clicked Run as Administrator. This worked.

    Thank you for your interest.
