I have a VB6 project created on an old machine, which I no longer posess. But I copied all the files from the old version, including the project file. When I run in the IDE, it works fine, but when I run the package and deployment wizard to create a dependency file, it says that some of my Microsoft controls are out of date. Sure enough, the VB Dev Studio contains an older version than the c:Program files version. But how can I make VB6 pick up the newer version? I think it is because of this, the exe will not run on other machines.
The name, key and version of the OCX are held in the project file.
