un-install vb6

I have un-installed vb6 using control panel , programs and features, uninstall and VB6 no longer appears in the list of programs. However VB6 is still on the computer and runs. How do I uninstall VB6 and all the associated files in the registry. I need to do this as my software doesn't run correctly under this vb6 installation. Thanks in anticipation

Look at:

Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\Setup\[a number]\Setup.exe

If it is Windows 64 bits, the program files folder is "Program Files (x86)"

My guess is that you installed it incorrectly and ended up with all sorts of crud in virtualized locations. Then you tried installing again without cleaning up your profile first.

Time to reinstall Windows from scratch.

Delete the folder manually, then run a registry cleaner like CCleaner ... then restart your computer.

Thanks. Have tried it. Seems to be clear. Now to try and re-load VB.
