When I try to remove or add an attachment today I get an error:
dilettante, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I would guess that is something to do with SSL being added to the site at the moment... apparently it is still in progress, so some things aren't quite right, and it is likely that this is one of them.
No panic here, but I thought I'd mention it. It wasn't a one-off error. Same computer, clearly I was logged on, etc. Even have some headroom yet on my attachments limit.
I chatted the guys this morning....They don't have the problem...Told them out of nine sites that this is the Only one I na all others have problems with.
Good News/ Bad News.... The quick reply box has an "Insert Image" option that works here... I swear that not only was it broken but that we shouldn't have the option... Last time I tested that... it only worked for the person that inserted the picture because the picture was on their pc....
Hum, each time I use the insert image in the quick reply, it doesn't work. It transforms the image in the link "attachment XXXXX" who goes to the error page. By the way, it doesn't really bother me as 9 out of 10 I use the "go advanced" page
I usually use the "go advanced" page to insert image. And in a few case it won't work but it is rare and also it may be because I had secured my PC a bit too much so the flash features are always deactivated and I activate them on demand.

I can usually fiddle and get Insert Image to work from "Advanced Editing." For many many years we've had that and it even worked in Quick Reply as well.
What seems solidly broken (for me) is the Manage Attachments button and its sub-dialog popup.
Just like that, did you try on an other web-browser ?

Attachment 177936 : that's the result with the insert image in the quick reply
: that's the result with the insert image in the advanced editor
: that's the result when I insert the image with the manage attachment button
by the way that picture is for the provocation of the former post

AND it should be fixed too. Are you having some sort of issue? If so - DETAILS...
Well, I was having the issue of not being able to attach files as reported in this thread's original post. But that works now, so I have no other issues or details to provide.
