    what is hwnd?

    The hWnd stands for Window Handle (as far as I know). Each process has one. This can be considered as identification for the process. The problem with hWnd's are that they change every time that a process is opened or closed, so you have to use the FindWindow API.

    For example, your browser has a hWnd, and say for instance, you wanted to close it... you would have to know the hWnd.
