    Resolved [RESOLVED] Passing variables from one solution to another external solution.

    Ok I have a VB2010 solution with a form. In that form I have a panel that I call another solution (run as and external process) .

    Private Sub PurchaseOrderToolStripMenuItem_Click(sender As System.Object, e As System.EventArgs) Handles PurchaseOrderToolStripMenuItem.Click

    Dim proc As Process

    proc = Process.Start(My.Application.Info.DirectoryPath + "/PurchaseOrder.exe", Textbox1.text)
    proc.WaitForInputIdle()

    Thread.Sleep(1000)

    SetParent(proc.MainWindowHandle, Me.Panel1.Handle)

    SendMessage(proc.MainWindowHandle, WM_SYSCOMMAND, SC_MAXIMIZE, 0)

    End Sub

    What is the best way to pass some variables and Textbox values from the first solution to the external solution running in the panel.

    Thank you,

    I don't know what others may go for, but if it were me. I would just decide what I wanted to send, layout how the variables would be packed into a byte array, and send them between the two applications using UDPClient objects.
