Welcome to the forums.
Do you have the database already set up?
What is the relationship between your question and your thread title?

Make sure textfile is structured correctly, eg with column headers, correctly delimited (CSV, Tab-delimited, etc)... And set up the destination table in a newly created access database.
Then just use the import feature of access. The wizard will guide you.

Re: System Resource Exceeded
Maybe hes doing that but because of the filesize the system is getting overloaded. If so you can cust the file in 1/2 or so. Then import the first and upon sucessful completion do the other.

Re: System Resource Exceeded
I wouldn't use MS Access for this. Better to do it from a small script or program executing the INSERT INTO FROM or SELECT INTO FROM via ADO.

Re: System Resource Exceeded
This thread is pretty old. Interesting to see some of the characters from so far back, but there's no point in resurrecting this. After all, the OP asked the question, then never came back. Still, perhaps somebody will benefit from that point. They aren't likely to benefit from anything else in this thread.
