    New Forum: Linux

    Linux may seem like a strange forum to add to a Visual Basic site; however, the world is evolving. Recently, the Mono project announced that it was including a Visual Basic compiler. This means that your Visual Basic .NET applications should be portable to any system that supports Mono -- systems that are most likley to be Linux.

    As such, at this time it seems to make since that we include a forum area here to discuss Visual Basic development on Linux. Because many people doing Visual Basic development are also going to be new to Linux, we will allow some discussions centered on using and installing Linux as well.
