The only Folder filter with which I'm aware using the Common Dialog is the InitDir property. Is that what you mean?

The ShowOpen or ShowSave methods of the common dialog control can not be used to select a folder, only to select a file.
Search this forum for SHBrowseForFolder, to browse for a folder.
