Exporting data from MS SQL Server 2000 database to an Excel File Using Visual Basic

    Hello,

First, I'm new to programming so please excuse me if this is an easy question.
What I'm trying to do is write a web form with the Visual Basic language using Visual Basic Express 2005. What I want it to do is allow a user to enter a date which will then be used as a criteria in an SQL query and then take the result of that query and save it into an excel file. I know how to get the date from the user, and I even think I've figured out how to feed it into the query and run the query. I just don't know how to then save it to an excel file. More simply put, how do I do the equivalent of a DTS Export using a query with Visual Basic????

Any help will be much appreciated,
