    Manage application licences

Sorry to bother you again, but im using the forum to get some feedback to the "myMoney" development...

what i would like to ask is How do you handle licences of your application...

im using a dialog box that ask a serial number based in a customer information provided by the program... if the serial (provided by the vendor: myself) is correct the program is registered...but i think this is a too simple strategy...

would love to see some comments on this matter...thx in advance...

    Re: Manage application licences

A way to have more control would be to generate a license file that's encrypted and in a binary format. It would give you more data and it's hard to crack.

The problem is it's inconvient for your customers to use it.

Personally, I think serial number is a less intrusive way to go.

For my applications, I'm developing a way to query my servers once for verification.

They'll have to live with the trail until they can go online for .2 seconds.

My application will only be distributed via the internet so if they can't be online a second after they download it... well they can use the trail.
