    VB.net Display Error

    My First Post!

    Im new to .net and have been programming database apps in vb6 for plenty of years... I have a question though...

    I created a quick "button and textbox" app and I immediately noticed that the way it displays the buttons and textboxes on the screen in runtime is different then that in design time...

    Is there a setting i need to change? Btw i am running XP as well...

    What version of VB are you using? If it's 2005 have you disabled either visual styles or the application framework on the Application tab in the project properties?

    Thank you for your quick response. Im using Visual Studio 2005, but the Enable Application Framework checkbox is greyed out as well as the options below it...

    Not sure, I know that it recognises you are using XP and changes the buttons to the MS button format. For example in your Display Settings (In Control Panel) go to the Appearance tab and change the style from XP to Classic it will change the buttons to the same as you see in the design page

    That sounds like a bit of a worry. Can you post a screenshot of your entire Application tab?
