    [Serious] Linux on laptop

    Hi,

I have a HP NX6125 laptop with Integrated ATI Mobility Radeon X300 gpu.
To use this videocard with linux requires the FireGL drivers.

I've tried setting it up on Mandrake, Red Hat and Kubuntu, but it never worked good.

So, my question: is there a Linux distro that comes with the FireGL drivers installed and ready to use?

Or does anyone know a linux distro that actually runs X on this laptop?

    Cheers,
    VB

Hmm, seems he has a slightly different configuration (I have an AMD Sempron proc), but I'll give it a try.

Should I go with FC5 instead of FC4, though?

Do whats been tested... THEN go with what hasn't once you've mastered it.

Well, I didnt' take your advice and installed Core 5 right away.
And it worked like a charm! Everything (except wireless lan) was detected and installed automatically.

Place it under the leg of the table you want to stop from wobbling or in front of the door you want to stop from closing.
