    need help with c++ dll

    Sometimes, i run into a problem where the compiler gives me an error that a structure or a function is undefined. I look at the header files and those structures and function DO exist. I think it may have something to do with these lines of code that are in the header files:

    Code:
    #if (_WIN32_WINNT > 0x0400)
    //the structure and functions I'm trying to use is in here
    #endif
    anyways, how do i get around this.

    What OS are you developing on? Windows XP, 2000, 98?

    _WIN32_WINNT should be defined according to the platform you are developing on.

    To work around this, define _WIN32_WINNT to be 0x501 (for windows xp) or 0x500 (for windows 2k) before including the header file which relies on it.
