    Unhappy Little bit Help for Distributed computing

    Hi,

    Last saturday i went though the .Net Remoting but found no answer for the following question .. so if someone having knowledge of this than plz tell me ...

    What is the difference between .NET approach and Standard widnows legacy apporach for distributed Computing ?

    plz help

    this's very important for my Examination point of view

    Excuse me if I'm wrong, but if you're using .NET then you are using .NET, and exactly how it differs from DCOM or whatever is not really important, unless you need this information for an assignment, in which case trying to get your answer from us isn't really honest.

    Well, It's not a part of the assignment but if u think so then i will do it myself. Whatever but, thank u very much for making me sure that i have to write diffenrence between DCOM and .NET ..

    I've never used DCOM myself but I believe that that was what Microsoft provided for communication between COM objects in a distributed environment. You may well be able to find direct comparisons between it and .NET methods. Here are some articles that may be of interest.
