    Technical explanation?

    *** really happens when you get a file in your computer that is undeletable "literally" ???

    any hints !

    I've had the same problem heaps before. The best method i use normally is the first one, but the second one might work.

    1. Safe mode
    2. Delete the file

    or

    1. Ctrl + Alt + Del
    2. Terminate the process
    3. Delete the file

    i use a program clled unlocker, it will display what programs have open connections to any file, it can instantly terminate them then delete the file for you, great app.

    OS sees that the file is being used by whatever process and therefore refuses to allow the file to be deleted.

    You'll need to take the cover off your disc and apply some Sandpaper to the sectors where the file is. This will destroy your file in complete safety.

    Good old DOS. (If you have FAT32 and an ASCII table handy).

    Or you could run scandisk. It's most likely just an invalid reference to a file.
    I've had something like it before.

    Thanks this works . I used to use bootable linux cd or hiren bootable cd to delete undeleted files but this is one is cool .
