    Visual Web Developer 2005

Does anyone use Visual Web Developer 2005. I'm using it and I don't
see a DLL file in the App_Data or Bin directory, yet my website runs fine.
Where is it getting the methods from, or does it compile on the fly?
    Can that be changed?

I believe compiling everything into a single DLL file is optional, and that the .aspx.vb files are compiled. It's probably in your project options somewhere to set it to compile everything to one DLL. I would guess the downside is that if you make any changes, you have to go back and recompile the entire website project instead of just updating a single file.

So IIS knows to compile the .vb files? I don't want to put those on the server, people could see the code. How do I compile into a DLL like VS 2003?

Try looking for the VS 2005 Web Application Project download from MS and see if that helps you. I believe it makes things work more like VS 2003.

    How do I use Gridlayout ? MS_POSITIONING doesn't work!

Looks like Microsoft changed everything again in an upgrade.
