Which part? There's code to handle the XP APIs to burn a CD, but I doubt anyone would write low-level CD burning code in VB.

Hum i don't know i saw the xp way but what do you mean low level? i mean is it not that great to code one in VB?

FlamedLib lets you write CDs from VB without XP APIs. I've never tried it myself.

I believe by low level, he means writing it from scratch without the use of APIs

WinXP and later has built-in CD Writing APIs. But this will not work on older Windows.
FlamedLib etc, on the other hand, uses a custom ASPI driver (I think Adaptec ASPI driver), that lets it to directly handle the burning features of the burner.
