    How to avoid/hide dos screen?

    Hi,

I have two applications. Let's say Project_1.exe and Project_2.exe. Project_2.exe contains many statements including the following code which I use to copy & rename the file from source location to destination:
    VB Code:
    1. 'will copy a.pdf from C:\ folder to C:\Temp and renames it to b.pdf.
    2. FileCopy "C:\a.pdf", "C:\Temp\b.pdf"
I have no problem with this code.

    I will call Project_2.exe from Project_1.exe as:
    VB Code:
    1. Shell "c:\Project_2.exe " & strPdfFileName, vbHide

It runs properly. I have no problem with these applications. After coping the file, it shows a dos screen with a message 1 file(s) copied and it closes automatically.

How to get rid of this screen? Or is there any other alternative to achieve my target without the dos screen?

Have you ever faced these kind of problems? Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

The Shell command acts like a DOS command, that command prompt window always pops up with it and I am very unsure if you can do anything about it. You should stick with the FileCopy command.
If you found my post in anyway helpful please rate it.
