    Wi-Fi

    I'm currently looking into Wi-Fi but there doesn't actually seem to be much detailed information on the net about the subject. Me and a friend are working on a project and I have some questions lol.

    We're setting up a wi-fi capable camera on a field, hidden from sight of anyone to moniter a warehouse (for test purposes). The signal will be sent on a certain frequency. I'm going to have a Wi-Fi router setup to my computer and some software to scan that frequency using that kit. Then the information is processed, decoded and shown as video. I know that depending on the strength of the router and the camera's wi-fi that I might need a small booster antenna (which I know how to build).

    I need to know really, if this is going to work, if there's going to be any problems I might face, and any more kit that I might need for the project.

    Thanks, Brad.

    Are you going to set it up to look at Area 51?

    Employ a Loo out
    PHP || MySql || Apache || Get Firefox || OpenOffice.org || Click || Slap ILMV || 1337 c0d || GotoMyPc For FREE! Part 1, Part 2

    | PHP Session --> Database Handler * Custom Error Handler * Installing PHP * HTML Form Handler * PHP 5 OOP * Using XML * Ajax * Xslt | VB6 Winsock - HTTP POST / GET * Winsock - HTTP File Upload

    Latest quote: crptcblade - VB6 executables can't be decompiled, only disassembled. And the disassembled code is even less useful than I am.

    Re: Wi-Fi

    The main problem will be your camera getting frozen and water damaged along with a flat battery then stolen leaving you sadly out of pocket and your project in dissaray.
