Re: [2005] IDE keyboard newbie question
something is not right there...
1) Is it a standard keyboard?
2) Do those keys work in other applications?
3) Did you try to reboot your PC?

Re: [2005] IDE keyboard newbie question
There's no reason for it to work in all other application and not in VS2005 , none the less i'm desparate so I tried using another keyboard- and it still doesnt work.
there must some place in VS 2005 where you define all those keys.
any ideas?

Re: [RESOLVED] [2005] IDE keyboard newbie question
I came across this today, so I figured I would post it, even though this thread was marked resolved (with no resolution posted however...)
If you install VS Professional 2005 on a machine that previously had one of the beta CTP versions, your key bindings will be broken and your backspace/arrow keys will be disabled. It seems that this was an existing bug in the CTP releases of VS that was being reported between July and September, but fixed in the RTM version. However even after doing an uninstall of the beta version, the key binding file is still left on your machine to wreak havoc with your clean beautiful RTM install.
To fix the problem:
1. Exit Visual Studio.
2. Navigate to the Application Data folder for Visual Studio, for example: C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\VisualStudio\8.0\, and delete Default.vsk.
3. Launch Visual Studio.
