Just one more thing to look for when buying a used car. Always check out the CarFax report.

Re: Post Race!
We've had some outfit named "Zip Recruiter" (or something very close) doing a lot of radio ads lately.
I have a grandson who recently entered the age of chatty mimicry. Last week we were going somewhere together and a commercial came on, kid started spouting "zippycooter" and the parents laughed. I warned them, but I think they imagined I was worried about the poor kid's psyche.
I heard from my daughter in law that they are afraid to take him to the grocery store right now. It seems that when he sees anyone he's likely to shout "zippycooter, zippycooter!"
Parents learn a lot on that first kid. Like not to encourage them unintentionally. Actually in parenting it is probably best to be as "intentional" as you can.

Re: Post Race!
Perhaps it is a regional thing. We've had a lot of people move here from the south since Civil War days.

"Cooter" can be a bad word in some places...or it could be the mechanic in the Dukes of Hazard.

I was wondering if that was the problem. But I've heard it used as a name more than anything else. But the list of possible bad word is pretty long.

Actually when the series started pretty much everyone knew it was meant as an unfortunate name.

Is there an official "Windows 11: Ow, My Balls!" thread here yet?
I keep running into things that are moved if not outright hidden, removed, or badly broken. I was tolerant of Windows 10 and it's my daily driver, but 11 seems to be a horse of a very different color. I've been at this for several months and I am no closer to making the switch.
Oh, the humanity!

Re: Post Race!
I need to do that.
My main keyboard was pretty solid, but it doesn't have double-shot keycaps and the paint is worn nearly off some keys. The shift keys have also become less than reliable.
I'm sure I have others brand new in a box here somewhere. I tend to use old ones I am used to for their multimedia buttons and such.
The last thing I need is one of those "dolly keyboards" with the colored lights under the keys. But then I wasn't born in a Chuck E. Cheese ball pit either.

Huh. Viewer discretion advised:
Pretty gross. Nothing really awful shown, it's just a story. Probably a dramatization of an urban legend.

I sought out a lighted keyboard so that I could use it in the dark. The fact that it the lights are colored and keep changing, isn't so great, but I can live with it.

I had solved this issue with a small USB LED lamp on a flexible gooseneck lead. That older Dell keyboard has a hub built in with two ports that can support this light and the mouse.

COVID-19 Threat Remains Low for Most People
COVID-19 certainly appears to be spreading, but it’s not causing serious illness in large numbers of people as it was earlier in the pandemic.
“Newer COVID-19 variants have very mild symptoms in general compared with the earlier variants, and can very much mimic the common cold,” Winslow says.
COVID-19 Variant ‘Eris’ Is Dominant After 8 Straight Weeks of Rising Hospitalizations
Hopefully this is good news and yours won't be serious.

So far ibuprofen has knocked down the temp. I should know by morning how this is going to play out. My son has had it the last three days and seems to be getting better already. Hopefully that's how mine goes.

Eris??? I thought the next variant would have to be Pi.
How can we make puns about Eris? Do they think we'll be shown the Eris of our ways?
