I downloaded (obtained through absolutely legal means) the following:

    Jealous Guy
    And So this is christmas
    Beautiful boy
    Imagine
    Let it be
Stand By me (A ripoff from Otis Redding)
    Watching the Wheels
    Woman
    julia
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds
    Strawberry Fields Forever
    Come Together

They seem to be fine for easy listening, and though I won't say that I hated them all, I'll just say that they weren't as bad as I initially thought they'd be.

    Good?

    So seriously now, who's left?

They should force him to listen to Yoko's singing. Pity torture is illegal ...

So I see you have nothing from "Abbey Road" except for "Come Together".

Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and Pete Best are still alive, though the later was fired from the band before the first official release.

It's very difficult to say. I have no idea if he repents what he did. Does he still hear the voices? Will it be safe for him outside (fans said they'd kill him, which I find hypocritical)?. Will it be safe for people when he's out (Going back to if he still wants to kill)?

He has served his sentence, and 4 more years on top of that. And that Yoko "told the parole hearing that she would not feel safe if Chapman were released." Sounds like a fairly crappy reason to lock a guy up for 4 years, unless you know he'll go after her or her children.

If he heard voices though, should he be getting psychiatric treatment?

The sentance was 20 years they should remain loyal to that sentence. 20 years is a long time and will change somebody. The jail system is there to correct people not store them until they die.

Seems he still got more of a sentance than most UK murderers. They tend to get about 4 years because they appeal

Question: Guy X murders someone. Guy X serves his time or gets parole, Guy X is free to go. People shrug.

Now if Guy X murders a celebrity, and does his time or gets parole, does it make a difference? How is he any more dangerous?

i think that he'd be killed if he ever got out. that's why he is in separate custody, I think. I remember that day Lennon was shot. I was in Basic Training!

    Folow up:

I heard on the radio this morning (just as it woke me up) that he has not been released. then I found this article about it:
    http://www.aversion.com/news/news_ar...m?news_id=3130
Your course of conduct over a lengthy period of time shows a clear lack of respect for life and subjected the wife of the victim to monumental sufferig for her witnessing the crime

Didn't John himself (along with the rest of the planet) have a monumental suffering for Yoko's singing?

    Maybe it was mercy-killing...

So although he has served his time, because he has killed somebody who is important he gets longer while a murder of a father of 3 (for example) could be released after 5 years. I think the courts were biased somehow

I am not standing up for him I am just angry at the alleged 'fair' system that seems to be in place.

Let the focker rot in jail for the rest of his life!
Everything I say is either loose interpretation of dubious facts or idle speculation rooted in irrational sentiment.
