How do light guns work?
Those guns that are compatible with PS2/XBOX etc...
How do they work? How does it know where the gun is pointing?
This king of thing...

A PC (or TV) screen is drawn one line at a time ...only the latency of the human eye makes this into a consistent image.
When the gun is pointed at the screen it gets a spike when the scan dot passes underneath where it is pointed and by querying the display card synch curcuit you can tell where the scan beam is at that time and by that you can determine where the gun is pointing.

That wouldn't explain the up-down component.
I know the light-gun from duck-hunt was just checking what it was looking at.
The trick with light guns is they are actually optical sensors, they know if they're looking at white or blak.
Don't pay attention to this signature, it's contradictory.

But A light gun will only harm internet and computer characters. Does that mean you are trying to take over the internet in a bid that it will help you take over the world
