    Add a resource file to your project and then add the file to the
    resource file. When its compiled its gets added to the exe. Then
    extract it when you need it in your program.

    No confusion here.

    Do a search for LoadResPicture and add the resource editor add-
    in to your vb ide. Add-Ins > Add-Ins Manager > Select "VB 6.0
    Resource Editor". Check Loaded/Unloaded and Load at startup. Click Ok.

    RobDog,

    I think it's on the both... (Enterprise and Professional), but, sometimes (I don't know why... ) VB instalation doesn't include all Addins (maybe the way that was installed... )...

    So, I know it can be included at .INI (I think its the VB.ini...), but I don't remember how...

    Thanx,

    JL

    I believe you can add it in through the vbaddin.ini file
    located in the Winnt dir next to the vb.ini file. This is what I have in mine.

    Code:
    [Add-Ins32]
    MTxAddIn2.RegRefresh=3
    VisioUMLSolution.UMLVB=0
    vbscc=3
    RVBAddInMenus.Connector=0
    RVBAddIn.Connector=0
    DTCFrameWork.AddIn=0
    Maybe this will help.

    Then it must be stored somewhere else. I will search when I
    get some more time. Maybe in registry or vb app dir.

    RobDog,

    Sometime ago, I had this problem... I was in need of Resouce Files and my Add-ins manager has no RF... So I get that .ini file from another PC and copied it to mine, So, like magic, I got it!

    BTW, I don't remember, if I copied add-in file too... , I don't think so, but...

    I'm not really sure about that...

    I recently had an issue where I lost my References menu
    item. I had no way to add any references to any projects. So I
    had to un-install and re-install vs. Sounds like maybe a last
    option for you?

    Yes...

    I'm so sorry if I was boring...

    I just had this problem sometime ago, and there's a lot of threads where "resource files" is the solution and in more of them people has no clue how to find it...

    I think if I answer them, Uninstall and Reinstall it, they will be a bit mad

    Cos of it I asked you this way...

    True, but that is why I described in detail how to add it in and only
    suggested reinstalling as a last option.
