Talking Help me make help files ;-)

i want to make a help file .HLP
now i am supposed to put the stuff, links, etc in a rtf file then link it but the problem is that when making the rtf (using winword 2000) the file becomes unaccepted by the compiler, any idea ? try it yourself and tell me if it works !

I've used Word 97 and the Visual Studio Help Workshop to create help files with no problems. Is Help Workshop the compiler that you are using?

I've used VB Helpwriter 16 bit for the past 8 years. I find it slightly better than the 32 bit, it still has the same functions. This help writer is quick and easy to use.

I you want to create *.hlp files then go here:

If you want to make HTML help files (*.chm) you can download HTML Help Workshop from Microsoft for free:

But I don't find Help Workshop very user friendly or easy to use.

You will find that this question has been asked on here a number of times, and all give different answers, do a search.

    Any problems then email me.
