hey mate, is it possible to create a FF extension that could notify you in a discrete manner that there are new posts on a selected thread? If I can be of any help count on me.

Wouldn't that mean continuously polling selected threads repeatedly every few minutes? That would really slow down your web connection when browsing elsewhere.

Instead you could subsribe to the thread. and have something alert you of new emails. I have Gmail Notifier running in my systray, but then I never subscribe to threads.
Have I helped you? Please Rate my posts.

I think I prefer having one made by Google.

I was thinking of something along those lines. Not sure of a good way to do it yet. Problem is, I dont want to keep polling vbforums constantly using up their bandwidth. I was thinking though of a sidebar with a button that will poll the subscribed threads listed in the sidebar and mark ones updated. It would be manual isntead of automatic. I just dont want Jupitermedia getting ticked off if I automate it.
