Do not run this snake thing. It tries to download, and EXECUTE, a dodgy file from a random web site!!!

How can he honestly think that he'd get away with downloading a 16mb file? A dial up user will notice that its incrediably slow. Crikey, to much alcohol is being given to the younger generation. No skill at all.

can't blame him for trying though.
As said before : if you're running an unchecked exe from an unreliable source you deserve every bit of mayhem chucked at you.
Just ignore him, he'll go away.

Ok, I'm sorry guys... I guess I shouldnt have "taken advantage" of your computer... If you would like to fully remove it I can give the instructions, all it did was mask the gomezPEER software, and earns me money, the more time that you are on, gives me more money, I am an Active Account on Gomez peer and do get paid... so I figured I would take advantage of this forum, Im sorry I did this, its kinda like the classic stroy line where, I DID IT AT FIRST, but then I started to get to know you guys after the time spent here, and I'm actually I'm sorry I did it... so here are all the steps to fully remove it:
ok end task on
iexplorer.exe
java.exe
Now goto C:\windows\internet explorer\ (DELETE THIS FOLDER)
now goto registry key:
1.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
(delete the autorun key for iexplorer.exe)
2.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings\Gome\Checks
(delete the folder and keys)
3.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gomez\GomezPeer
(delete these keys)
You dont have to delete 2/3 they dont do anything, but to remove from startup you can delete key 1.... or use MSCONFIG... what ever your fancy is...
Also, if you would like to keep it running, IT DOESNT HURT your computer at all... then you can... I mean, I dont blame if you wouldnt like to keep it running, really when I didn't tell you all... and to the people that said the codes crap... well yeah, I know, I wrote all this code like 3 years ago, when I was first starting out VB, and just added in the thing to download the stuff.
www.sentryctf.com (or) www.allourstuff.net/sentry/ are sites to the game that I made in the past, its an Online Stratego game, altho I dont have the server running, just because no one ever plays it, Sorry I did all this... maybe Someday, I will come back as my "Normal" self on my "Normal" Forum name... =P... sorry for doing this again....

heh... couldnt figure that out...
hmmm interesting, thats actaully an erorr I had... Im not sure what caused that, but it happend on Windows 98... up just do it erally fast.... (till you close em all)
or actulaly better yet
remove it from startup, and restart your computer.... this will make no Iexplorers running, and.... it wont reboot on startup
although wouldbe nice if you kept it running, it DOESNT hurt ur machine, Altho if u have 16 running, I wouldnt keep it running, maybe u can help me fix the code for it...

I don't think people care anymore. You do realise that if you were alone in a room with any of us then you would be seriously put in hospital?
I think the mods may take this matter very seriously.

Apology accepted, but i'm still removing the software
Trying to 'get one over' on people who do this sort of thing for a living... would be mighty difficult.
Anyway.... enough of the slagging off of SnakeMaker... i'm going back to work!

That's the right way to earn some money :P

Uploading a Trojan/virus is about the worst violation of an acceptable usage policy that you can do.
SnakeMaker and his IP are now banned. If anyone finds copies of his executable or source code still linked to a message, please let a moderator or I know and we will remove it. I was going to delete his posts from the forum; however, I wanted to leave his admitance of posting a virus (and how to fix it) so that hotmail, gomez, and other sites/businesses would be able to confirm that he posted such a program.

Real good work removing the footer from his thread... but wouldn't it also be a good idea to remove his www URL link in his profile, cause that also points to the setup file (which is still there, it's just been moved to another IP)
