The thread you replied to is 19 years old. I don't think royi is still active.

Can you give a full and clear description of what you want to achieve?

It looks a bit weird. Eromtech joined the forum 19 years ago and had his first post yesterday. Is it possible?

Just kidding. I rejoined yesterday since 19 year of abscence and I presume that my history has been deleted meanwhile ...

    Sure ...
like approximatelly 20 years ago I was programming Some tools for interfacing between AS400 and some Printing software from a company named Markem.

I succeeded in this software, also due to support from members of this forum.
In the company I work for, no one was available to support me or brainstorm with me whenever I was stuck with my VB6 programme.
So, the input from this forum was very valuable for me and I tried to give Some back by replying to questions when I knew the answer.

Now, like 19 years later, Iím working on a small tool where I can use my VB6 skills for programming in VBA in excel - donít shoot me - and I was wondering whether I still could find support here for my questions in VBA.

So thatís it ... It is Some kind of nice to be back... even though maybe the people in charge are others by now...
It is good to see that a forum like this still exists and where possible I will support ... even though my knowledge is kind of outdated, maybe I can help with my experience and my Simplified way of thinking.

    Thanks Guys!

Luckily I have run out of bullets.
I shudder at the massive use of Excel in the world, instead of properly designed DBs and programs.

    Re: Excell With V.B

i have asked for this to be moved (pls do not duplicate) to office development, but it may be separated from the original old thread

as later versions of excel are quite different, particularly in the menus, to 2003 and earlier, it is probably quite important to know what version of excel you are likely to be using, as well as exactly what you want to achieve, presumably something to do with menus, as per the old thread, but a detailed description would be beneficial
i do my best to test code works before i post it, but sometimes am unable to do so for some reason, and usually say so if this is the case.
Note code snippets posted are just that and do not include error handling that is required in real world applications, but avoid On Error Resume Next

dim all variables as required as often i have done so elsewhere in my code but only posted the relevant part

come back and mark your original post as resolved if your problem is fixed
