Re: What song are you listening to right now?
Not a track any of you are likely to have encountered, unless I have posted it here before.
It is just a good track to dance round the kitchen to. Quite long enough to break a sweat if you are vigourous enough. If you know your dance tracks and can also dance yourself then you'll detect a good underlying repetetive beat for you to latch onto.
Needs BASS and VOLUME.

Me too...unless it's crap of course. It almost inevitably is, but I've been pleasantly surprised with this one.

The intro to Alone is definitely long! Kinda surprised me for a first single after a long time, but I guess they were setting up the mood for the album with this one. Not a "radio-friendly unit shifter".

The song doesn't have that familiar strong underlying and catchy riff that the best of Cure tracks have...
I've given it a few listens and it has definitely grown on me...it feels like a late Side 2 track on an album you love, but you don't listen to much at first since you've been too busy repeating Side 1 over and over...but once you get bored of Side 1 and give Side 2 a deep dive it becomes a loved track... Those types of songs are hard to come by in today's streaming/singles world, and that adds to my surprise that they released it as a first single.
Anyway, album is out now, but I haven't had a chance to give it a listen yet. Based on the first single, I'd wager there's no "Friday, I'm in Love" on it

I'll give it a listen as soon as I can...I might even know it already, but I'm terrible with song names!

Just brilliant.
And, unfortunately, a song which will never lose actuality.....

Probably THE anthem of a whole Generation, though in different "clothing"
Note the "cause" for which this was "remade"

Re: What song are you listening to right now?
I wouldn't put that to the greatest songs of them.
Having said that, I've played the base part in a band a year ago, with a pick, in their face, looking cool

To quote my own Bass-Player: "if you play a song in a totaly different genre, and the song still works, then you truly have a great song"
After stumbling across above version i went a bit on a hunt.
And i found a version, and you probably won't believe it, of a guy playing it as "Folk"-song on "Voice of Norway" (!!!).
With the exception of ONE coach (who immediately hit the button and turned around), you could see on the faces of the people, that nobody knew the song.
Having said all that: to my shame i found out, that i never paid attention to the lyrics, but with above version i finally did, and it hit really hard, since i recognized a lot of myself in it.

I'll doubt that the base will work in any genre. It's just low noise gibberish

Drop D-Based .
But I don't know if you'll get that one, it's a musicians thing.

to hunt a species to extinction is not logical !
since 2010 the number of Tigers are rising again in 2016 - 3900 were counted. with Baby Callas it's 3901, my wife and I had 2-3 months the privilege of raising a Baby Tiger.
