    Re: https://www.radbasic.dev/

I believe that if Olaf had put some more effort into simply marketing his solution and had provided information regarding the progress of his solution then other replacement projects may not have...

    Re: (VB6) Component Documenter

Of course I understand, it was a generalisation. Just explaining why xiaoyiao might find such an export useful in general terms.
  3. Re: text effects Qustion collection by vb6(Luminous Fonts, etc.)

So, this thread only has existence in the context of your new proposed IDE and is a wishlist of potential functionality that IDE might have when complete.

If that is so, then it needs to...
  4. Re: 64-bit process remote hook technology and some changes in the 64 module export ta

xiaoyiao, your content is interesting but we find it very hard to understand some of what you suggest.

Can you try to converse perhaps in a Western manner that would be easier for us to...

    Re: (VB6) Component Documenter

JSON, XML are useful standards to use, they can be picked up by other tools, potentially useful in migration. If you had a tool that could describe all of a forms' controls properties in XML using...
  7. Re: Visual Form Editor by vb6(For VBS,Python,Javasript,Lua)Scripting language tool

The reason why xiaoyiao is referring to storing control information in alternative methods is because it is part of his mindset at the moment. He seems to be intent on reinventing the wheel (in a...
  8. Re: SharpDevelop 5.1 Visual form designer function is invalid ON VB.NET?

The reason why xiaoyiao is referring to sharpdevelop is because it is part of his mindset at the moment. He seems to be intent on reinventing the wheel (in a good way), see this thread -...
  9. Re: .NET_ForVB6.dll【COM-Wrapper Library With .netFrameWork】Like Rc6.dll

xiaoyiao, I am attempting to summarise what I believe are your thoughts here:

    Are you suggesting :

    1. That it would be possible to use sharp develop (an open source editor?) to create an IDE...
  10. Re: How to create all VB. Net controls dynamically with VB6?

    Well, because :
    a. it looks like it extends a lot of the power intrinsic to .NET methods, to VB6, which is a boon to VB6ers
    b. it seems to show (forgive me if I am wrong) a potential method of...
  11. Re: How to create all VB. Net controls dynamically with VB6?

  13. Re: A collection of text effects by vb6(Luminous Fonts, etc.)

Is that a question or a statement or are you trying to implement a vb6 listbox here on the forum?
  14. Re: Very Nice,Transparent user control by vb6

I have a script plugin for photoshop that allows you to make GUI designs using layers then export the result to XML and creating separate images. It could be modified to create a VB form format file...

    Re: https://www.radbasic.dev/

Perhaps our job is to pick up a version of BASIC for other oses, one that runs on multiple oses (GAMBAS?) and start to code something that will replace those most-used Windows APIs, one by one with...
  16. Re: Very Nice,Transparent user control by vb6

xiaoyiao, I like what you are doing here. It could be useful.
  17. Re: Very Nice,Transparent user control by vb6

I think that you can tell that xiaoyiao is an intelligent, extremely dedicated, highly focussed person who perseveres despite all obstacles - whose mind operates ONLY in this fashion, indicating...

    No brothers here.
  19. Re: [VBDOS] Visual Basic For MSDOS Max power of this

Please Liwis, add some grammar to your posts otherwise they become unintelligible and frankly I can't be bothered to answer if you can't be bothered to post properly. Also, I am not your brother...
  20. Re: [VBDOS] Visual Basic For MSDOS Max power of this

It is considered abandonware - and that might give you a hint as to how to find it.
  21. Re: [VBDOS] Visual Basic For MSDOS Max power of this

VBDos was very similar to VB1-6 in the concepts it provided. QB4.5 was Microsoft's implementation of a 'standard' basic and as such you had to create all controls yourself. It sat on top of DOS so...

Re: What skills are needed for IoT?

You need a solder gun and a hammer/chisel to cut the hole.
  24. Re: list1 how to sum the 5 column

The fundamental issue you seem to be misunderstanding is that VB6 is not a spreadsheet by default (as is Excel).

The VBA code for Excel is valid but can only work with columns and rows that don't...

The administrator transfers your posts because:

    1. They make no sense in English as your English (or your translator) is so very poor. The result is unreadable.

  30. Re: This forum is why VB6 is still usable today

I thank the mods for their part in keeping this forum usable.
  31. Re: is it legal to use vb6 enterprise free in 2021 ?

VB6 has a future for the first time in years just NOT in the hands of MS.

The future for VB6 is in TwinBasic and RADBasic, VB6 compatible offerings, you know what to do now.
  32. Re: is it legal to use vb6 enterprise free in 2021 ?

Oh, and MS have NO future plans for VB6 and I believe the plans for VB have just reached a stop too...
  33. Re: is it legal to use vb6 enterprise free in 2021 ?

I recently bought VB6 pro from ebay, a sealed and original packet including discs and licence for 60. I realised that I had lost my old discs and their box in a house move, probably more than a...
  34. Re: How you write multi-lang solutions (mixed VB.NET, C#) and multi-platform (Win, Li

    - and you can write a command down exactly (or copy/paste). You can't write down a series of GUI interactions and be certain the instructions will even be understood.
  35. Re: is it legal to use vb6 enterprise free in 2021 ?

Use your ripped off version for the moment? Wait for TwinBasic/RADBasic to become viable alternatives.
  36. Re: How you write multi-lang solutions (mixed VB.NET, C#) and multi-platform (Win, Li

  37. Re: How you write multi-lang solutions (mixed VB.NET, C#) and multi-platform (Win, Li

I've worked with the command line all my working life on VMS, DOS, Ultrix, Aegis, Solaris, Xenix and Linux. Like all mastering of all things, VB6 keywords included, you need to know the commands but...
  38. Re: How you write multi-lang solutions (mixed VB.NET, C#) and multi-platform (Win, Li

Nothing wrong with the command line, in Linux ( and many other o/ses) the command line is generally more powerful than the GUI. The way that Windows does it, isn't the be-all and end-all of...
  39. Re: imitate windows 1.0 graphical interface with VB6

Have each column exist in its own listbox?
  40. Re: How you write multi-lang solutions (mixed VB.NET, C#) and multi-platform (Win, Li

GAMBAS is a fairly complete product but it does state that it follows the spirit of VB6 without slavishly implementing full VB6 compatibility. There are others as well if you care to take the time to...
