    Windows 11 coming soon

As a vb6 user it's sort of disappointing to think that the best you can hope for from a new Windows is that nothing changes.

Thankfully there are projects on the go now that promise to deliver us...

Re: Microsoft retiring Internet Explorer next year

Some government departments don't provide an API yet expect small contractors to fill in long forms online where
previously they were able to mail in forms that they could have software autofill.

Specifically, I wonder does it mean that the InternetExplorer object , ...

The code they typed was vb but not vb6, does that make it any easier than vb.net to migrate to?

39 seems like an odd number (no pun intended) for a limit.
  26. Re: Running VB6 and VB6 apps on Raspberry Pi, or any Linux

You are correct I'm sure, but I'm looking at it from the viewpoint of someone who would like to port quite a lot of code and would require a major rewrite that just ain't gonna happen.
  27. Re: Running VB6 and VB6 apps on Raspberry Pi, or any Linux

Thanks for that. Nice to hear someone so positive overall about Lazarus coming from a VB6 background.
Of the problems you list, memory allocation strikes me as the potentially troublesome one.
  28. Re: Running VB6 and VB6 apps on Raspberry Pi, or any Linux

    Sounds good!
Start out with a very simple VB6 project and develop a migration program (written in VB6) to convert it to a working Lazarus project.
Then gradually add more to the VB6 project from a...
