  1. Re: [RESOLVED] Preventing form from being closed but allowing it to be moved

Elroy: With great respect (you have helped me a lot in the past) your ream of code seems much too complex a way to achieve what I wanted. The change to the Control Box property was all I needed and...
  2. Re: [RESOLVED] Preventing form from being closed but allowing it to be moved

I'm OK now. I don't want the user to be able to minimise. And there is a specific EXIT cmd button on the form which shuts down in an orderly fashion.
  3. Re: Preventing form from being closed but allowing it to be moved

Thank You LaVolpe! That was it (of course).
  4. [RESOLVED] Preventing form from being closed but allowing it to be moved

I want to arrange on a program that the small form that shows can be moved by the user BUT can't be closed or minimized. I can't seem to do this with the BorderStyle property.

Re: Taking up sub-loop after delay

The above turns out to be not totally idiot proof. I have added disabling of cmdPause and cmdContinue at Form_Load and enabled them when started.

    Thanks all again.

Re: Taking up sub-loop after delay

Yes. If it was at say 16 when I paused it I want it to carry on down from there (wrapping round to 60 if set for more than a minute) with minimal change to my existing code.

Yes, 59 it is. So are you suggesting that instead of 'For p to 60' I hold the current lblRun.Caption in say y and then start the loop with 'For p to y'?

Do loop doesn't do what I wanted!

My problem here is that the loop keeps running even when cdTime is below 0. Equally, Alarm never gets called. Pause works (aPause is set by another command button) and the loop does loop!
