    I always turn off windows restore points I hate them. They are slow and seem to slow down system performance and I just donít trust them. Also malware frequently wipes them.

    after installing and configuring a fresh system I take a snapshot of it in its fully configured state with a tool like acronis/macrium etc.

    if windows ever acts up just revert to the fresh...

    you can not change api declarations types. The dll expects a very specific type of data to be passed.
