    My understanding is that twinBASIC already supports multi-threading, but language syntax to support the feature needs to be added.

    Exactly that. All the other offerings, from VB.Net onwards have failed to offer VB6 backward compatibility. That has to be the starting position for any VB6 replacement.

    As Grant says it's a VB.Net alternative.

    As Microsoft moves away from VB.Net it is probably of interest to the VB.Net community, but of little relevance to VB6.

    Gosub is only temporarily out of TwinBasic in this early preview. It will be brought back. But you won't be able to use it and also use the new Return syntax at the same time.

    In the first preview Gosub is disabled though apparently it is to return (no pun intended).
    I don't know if there will be a way to switch it off, or if you just won't be able to use both in the same...
