Re: Which type of container to use?

Of course that example is very simple and doesn't really give much of a clue to the complexity that the file format can be.
Your second example, while also considered quite simple, gives a bit more...

  3. Re: Anyone else freaked out by today's Google home page animation?

Well, if you type in "google leaf" does it still show up in your list, and how far down is is, or has the "scared me" phrase already fallen off the popularity list? Just curious, as I assume the...
  4. Re: Anyone else freaked out by today's Google home page animation?

I think if you do a search on "Google leaf scared me", then that phrase automatically becomes one of the top Google search suggestions for you, i.e. it will tend to parrot back to you things you've...

He mentions that the code in post #5 "draws two rectangles", so my assumption is he wants to draw the two rectangles defined in the file.

  8. Re: DisplayResolution 2560 x 1440 gives run-time 6 overflow error program made with

I don't know if there is that much difference between the monitor and TV for basic usage. The first 4K TV I bought a few years ago was a 50" and cost me about $280 at the time. I bought it on a whim...
  9. Re: DisplayResolution 2560 x 1440 gives run-time 6 overflow error program made with

I just bought a few 4k smart TVs to use at the three common areas that I work, since you can usually pick up a 43" to 50" for $200 or less. Much cheaper compared to a dedicated 4K monitor.

VS 2019 Re: Coloring Text after percentage calculation

Only one of those examples is true.
Val returns a Double, so Val("123.456") returns a double set to 123.456, and Val("-0.25") returns a double set to -0.25.
It isn't locale sensitive, so if you use...

That was actually one of my thoughts last week. If Trump lost, would he actually refuse to leave the house. It certainly wouldn't seem to be beyond his character.
  19. Re: VB6: GDIPLUS - how change pixels colors on a faster way

That was what I was saying. If you draw the path, the path has to be one color.

  20. Re: VB6: GDIPLUS - how change pixels colors on a faster way

I figured even if you didn't go down to 1-pixel path segments, is that the path has to be rendered in one color, so it doesn't matter if the path is one line segment or a thousand, it is one path and...
  21. Re: VB6: GDIPLUS - how change pixels colors on a faster way

Well, I guess that could be interesting to play with. It would be convenient if the various shapes added to a path could be individually colored, so you draw your texture as one path.
    It sounds like...
  22. Re: VB6: GDIPLUS - how change pixels colors on a faster way

You can use GdipWarpPath to warp the path with perspective, but as far as I know (boops boops played around with this a bit on the .Net side), you can't get the image to warp with perspective, i.e....

  28. Re: how can i get the GDI+ declaration functions\types?

What you did wrong is try to fill a trapezoid area using a parallelogram shape.

A trapezoid shape is not a parallelogram shape.

Those are geometric figures. Look them up.

    A trapezoid is...
  29. Re: how can i get the GDI+ declaration functions\types?

You will get the same code problems using GDI+ as you do now using plgblt, since you are doing the same operation. The DrawImage with an array of points just allows you to do a parallelogram blit at...
