  1. Re: VB6 QUESTION: Quickest way to initialise an array

It usually isn't an issue for most arrays. If you do have some large tables you need for something you can always compile them in as binary data resources and use CopyMemory to copy the resource...
  2. Re: [RESOLVED] Corona virus, China major city lockdowns, etc.

Yeah, but remember how inept and lazy our fraudsters are. They'd probably be unable to do as good a job and they might have to leave their gaming throne in Mom's basement to do it. Then there's the...

  4. Re: OleLoadPicturePath and Transparency Parameter

I think the documentation was never updated. As far as I can determine the clrReserved was never implemented, which is why is says "reserved." Maybe it was meant for 16-color video adapters or...

    Re: AlphaImage control question

Microsoft doesn't host the download any more, but you might try a search to find a copy of WIAAutSDK.zip

This contains a redist version of the DLL (which you almost certainly won't need) but also...

Re: VB Snippet - Determine if Array is Empty

Yeah, it depends on what you mean by "empty."

I assumed he was after "not yet allocated" but of course you can also allocate an array and assign it no members.

    Re: AlphaImage control question

    Re: Semicolon in Connection String

    Nonsense.

  11. Re: Why is VB.Net/C#/XAML + VS2019 is better than VB6? Here's why.....

Just because you saw some newb code it doesn't prove anything.

Using a type library you can just do something like:

    Dim L() As Long

    If MemLong(ArrPtr(L)) = 0 Then

    Re: WITH PRINTER...image

You told it to paint the picture at coordinates (0, 0) so it is doing as requested.

Centering is pretty easy. Use an X-offset value that is 0.5 * (DestWidth - PictureWidth).
  26. Re: SET a new font in a single line of listbox

I guess I need new glasses. I could have sworn it said TextBox. Clearly I was blind.

  29. Re: SET a new font in a single line of listbox

No, Edit controls use a single font. They don't have markup so nothing else would be possible.

You want a RichEdit control like the one inside the RichTextBox instead.
  30. Re: Populating an ADODB.Recordset from array without looping ?
