    Re: read JSON FILE

FWIW, here a Full-Demo, which should be able to import the ~5Mio Records from the "huge file" (3.5GB),
with about 5K Records per second (so it will need roughly 1000 seconds total = about 15-20...

    Re: read JSON FILE

Well, quite a few italian City- (or Street-) Names will contain italian accents like: , , ...
    And that's where the FSO.ReadLine will give you: "street":"è, , ì" instead...

Re: VB6 Compiler Stopped Working ...

Yours is different IMO, because you have problems also with normal...

Re: [RESOLVED] Call song files to List Box

FWIW (in case this is for a little "Music-Management-App")...

If you have progressed a bit with your VB-skills, you might want to re-work the whole thing,

  6. Re: User action versus code causing event to raise

That's exactly where ADO (with its DataBinding-capabilities) would be of great assistance...
By using such a Binding-approach, you will not need "any Events".

  7. Re: [RESOLVED] Type Mismatch problem regarding an If Else statement

I don't think COM is "the greatest thing ever"...

But I know, that it is one of the best compromises to develop lean, fast native Class-Libraries
(and when so choosen, under an "interface-first"...
  8. Re: [RESOLVED] Type Mismatch problem regarding an If Else statement

It's not really about "loving or hating COM".

What you try real hard to deliberately "misunderstand and ignore" in all these threads is,
that COM is the leaner, better performing "Object-tech",...

Never heard of this guy (and I know all the "big names", believe me).
In short, the article is full of wrong statements.

And what he considers "historical baggage" is apparently COM (which is...
  11. Re: [RESOLVED] Type Mismatch problem regarding an If Else statement

Guess it's on you to explain, how "historical baggage" (whatever that is),
can prevent a few devs, to get to work on an existing CodeBase
(which is maintained to this day and even produces a...

    Re: VB6 WebView2-Binding (Edge-Chromium)

jsRun is thought for function-calls, which allow you to pass parameters as normal VB-Vars.

For such longer "multi-dotted-expressions" (with "inner, literal-arguments"), you are better advised to...

Re: MS Speech Object Library (sync vs Async)

  33. Re: [RESOLVED] Using astronomically big numbers in VB6 (1000-bit or higher)

Afaik it's dual licensed (also comes under LGPL-v3), which is compatible to what I plan to open the RC6 under (at a later point, when an opensource-compiler is available).
