    Re: Compare String to Byte

I believe this MSDN article addresses your problem: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb311038.aspx

Specifically, you should check out these lines:

Re: Image/ Image Map & Scaling

Not currently possible it seems... You can hack it with JS though - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/7844399/responsive-image-map.

Re: get minutes from selected hours

Convert your date representation to Javascript Date object instances and perform validation using those. Subtract the two date instances to get the delta amount of milliseconds between the two.

[C#] Re: XNA - Specific Pixel Coloration?

    Try this:

    http://deadlyevilryu.wordpress.com/2009/11/19/xna-hlsl-2d-tutorial-1/

It's basically just a function that gets called for each pixel, where you're able to change the output.

[C#] Re: XNA - Specific Pixel Coloration?

I'm pretty sure XNA has built in support for texture tinting, check the SpriteBatch draw method.

Alternatively, you could write your own shader that only tinted pixels with a specific color value,...

Agreed :) obviously the best solution would be to actually find a solution, instead of just treating the symptoms.

Re: Checking site for JS errors

Since Javascript errors occur clientside it probably isn't. Unless the ajax library somehow detects the lack of a specific request.

My guess would be that you need to force the browser to update...
  9. Re: plz help !error use of unassigned local variable

A good idea might also be to put the Field name on the individual textbox's Tag property.

Thanks for your suggestions :). I think Shoutcast might be a bit to limited.

Thankfully, I've found a solution that seems to be working for me. I've installed an Ubuntu client edition, and thrown...
  12. Re: [Suggestions wanted] Synchronizing my music collection

Interesting... Well that solves the IP problem. I also agree that not having the library duplicated on several boxes seems like the better approach.

  13. [Suggestions wanted] Synchronizing my music collection

    Hi everyone,

I've got a rather large(and growing) digital music collection. Right there's only one copy of it that isn't out-of-date, which is on my primary Windows box here at home. The problem...
  14. Re: Making one copy of complex type from 2 webservices.

One solution might be to write a server side script that automatically merges the WSDLs, and use that as your service reference instead
  15. Re: Making one copy of complex type from 2 webservices.

He'd have to do it everytime he makes changes to the two services though...

Nono, you get it all wrong - for that please send him sample code!
  18. 3.0/LINQ Re: Inheriting a Form with a non-default constructor

Uh, this might be a longshot, but your DockForm isn't deriving from both Form and DockFormBase is it?
  19. Re: Making one copy of complex type from 2 webservices.

I'm curious as to what exactly you're trying to achieve? Even if you manage to find a solution, the moment you update the service references, chances are your changes will be overritten.

    Is it to...

    Re: Animating a gradient brush

Yes, use the colors explicitly defined in the brush, ex:

    <LinearGradientBrush>
    <GradientStop Offset="0" Color="White" x:Name="gs0" />
    <GradientStop Offset="1" Color="Black"...

It might be cool to add support for auto indentation as well... I bet you could get XmlDocument or something like that to do it for you :).

    Re: yet another design question

By NavigationManager I mean the NavigationService :) - I never stated it was a layout control ;), you're supposed to build your own navigational UI.

You are misunderstanding. You should use the frame to navigate Pages, not usercontrols.

  35. Re: New Futurama. New Stargate. New Star Trek. ZOMG. BBQ.

It did... The movie was okay though, I guess :).
  36. Re: New Futurama. New Stargate. New Star Trek. ZOMG. BBQ.

Stargate and Star Trek both suck imo... Especially Stargate - it's almost as bad as Smallville.

    Futurama kicks ass though :).
  37. Re: Setting a property of a control in another project to a resource of the local pro

Instead of having the type of your property as a Bitmap let it be an Object, and just cast it back and forth when you need it.

That'll ensure it won't raise an exception when xaml throws a String...

Exactly. Use a Frame for the content(which is currently usercontrols), and create pages instead. WPF Frames have an excellent NavigationManager(I think it might actually be static) that helps you...

  40. Re: Setting a property of a control in another project to a resource of the local pro

That's because you're passing a String to your property and not a Bitmap. You should use a value converter to convert the string to a bitmap; see this reference:
