IIRC, Elroy did something like an "Array for Controls in VBA" here in the Office-Forum (or was it in the vb6-Forum?)

    tg,
    thx for your insight.

Yeah, i know the feeling about SELECT * and i'm not a friend of it, either. I just mentioned it for completeness' sake, if someone else finds this thread.

Re: BLOBS in Database: Good or Bad practice?

    Thx peter.

Was your 2-Table-Design a classic 1:m (1 row per resolution) or a 1:0/1 relation (in case of 1:0/1 multiple BLOB-Columns for the diff. resolutions)?

BLOBS in Database: Good or Bad practice?

    Hi Folks,

this subject came up in a discussion i had with someone last week:

First off: Please no advice like "put the file (Image, Video, PDF, whatever) in a Folder on the Disk, and save the...

regarding the Pragma: IIRC, you can fire off a PRAGMA against SQLite (after connection is established) like an SQL-Statement

    Re: Change Event of Textbox

It still doesn't make sense to use an invisible textBox just to have a "ready-to-use" Event firing.

In your post #5 you actually showed how it would be the proper way.
    The only difference being,...
  8. Re: How to generate string by specifies a maximum number of repeated characters?

Didn't we have a thread some days ago, in which we discussed repeating of strings?
  9. Re: Explanation of bi-dimensional Arrays ... Please!

This reminds me more of a class with a standard-property, where the Index-Argument is a variant.
pass an integer, and it works like an index of an array
pass a string it behaves like a dictionary...
  10. Re: Explanation of bi-dimensional Arrays ... Please!

I haven't understood a single word of it
  11. Re: Explanation of bi-dimensional Arrays ... Please!

As Arnout wrote: Once a dynamic 2D-Array (or more Dimensions) has been "ReDim"-ed you can only change the last Dimension in subsequent ReDim (Preserve)

  14. Re: Security Question: MS SQL direct access using windows authentication

    Gary,
i'm still trying to wrap my mind around that row-level-"GRANT"
The only way i could fathom that to work how you described would be (for lack of better terms):
    1) that Function works...
  15. Re: [Excel][VBA][Form][ListView] Get list subitems

IIRC there is a HitTest-API for the ListView-Control
and i think it has even been mentioned here on the forum a few times (i think Luca90 had a similiar question)
  16. Re: Security Question: MS SQL direct access using windows authentication

Re: Unable to Access MySQL Remotely

OK, i'll take this IT-guys "translation NAT rule" as port-fowarding

  18. Re: How to bold selected words in RichTextBox?

    In a loop:
Search for the (first/next) occurence of "#B#".

    Olaf,
maybe put something on your website (About, Download or both) in Fontsize 200 in Bold (and no, the FontSize 200 / "two hundred" is not a Typo... *evilgrin*)

Re: MySQL & ADO queries speed

Don't think so, since UpdateBatch is a Method of the ADODB.RecordSet-Object

Re: MySQL & ADO queries speed

You should always try to bulk-upload, and packing multiple SQL's into a Transaction is never a bad idea (Rollback!).

Though, i have no idea if bulk-upload with parameters is possible.
