  1. VS 2019 Re: [vb.net] Turn off COMPORTS and turn it on

    You can turn off a USB device, but I doubt there is an easy way to turn off the +5 volts on an individual USB port.
  2. VS 2019 Re: [vb.net] Turn off COMPORTS and turn it on

    It's not going to work without a serial to USB converter. USB is a bus, not a port.
  3. VS 2019 Re: [vb.net] Turn off COMPORTS and turn it on

    You can toggle the state of the RTS line very easily. This will set it HIGH on COM1:

    SerialPort1.PortName = 1
    SerialPort1.Open()
    SerialPort1.RtsEnable = True

    and closing the port will set...
  4. VS 2019 Re: Naudio - recording from a specific point in time

    Also, if you only have one sound input device (a microphone perhaps) you can probably just use 0 as the device number.
  5. VS 2019 Re: Naudio - recording from a specific point in time

    Some of this might help:

    Imports NAudio.Wave
    Imports NAudio.CoreAudioApi

    Module modNaudio

    Private NAudioWaveIn As New NAudio.Wave.WaveIn

    VS 2010 Re: NAudio installation help

    Indeed. I have a spare PC that I recently wiped and installed Windows 10 and VS2019; a clean machine with no Naudio DLLs anywhere. I created a new Winforms project and added the Naudio NuGet package....

    VS 2010 Re: NAudio installation help

    Do you have Imports NAudio.CoreAudioApi ? In my projects I have a reference to Naudio.dll (version 1.9.0.0) and then:

    Imports NAudio.Wave
    Imports NAudio.CoreAudioApi

    That's all I have needed...

    Are you sure you're targeting .NET 4.8.04084 and not .NET Core? The folder name suggests .NET 5 which is .NET Core.
  14. VS 2010 Re: Can DirectX's ImageFileFormat jpeg compression be set? If yes, how?

    Not familiar with DirectX but you can save a bitmap as a jpeg like this:

    Imports System.Drawing.Imaging

    Dim jpgEncoder As ImageCodecInfo = GetEncoder(ImageFormat.Jpeg)

  23. Re: Code to Display Data Matrix Barcode Reading With Separators
