    Re: LED.OCX & Windows 11 Pro

The code I share is for people to use it, so of course I don't mind.

A Timer control does not prevent you from making a UserControl windowless.
BTW, my ShapeEx and LED controls both have...
  2. Re: (VB6) ColorDialog: a color dialog replacement

Changed the location of OLEGuids.tlb, now it is expected to be under Windows / System (SysWOW64).
To avoid the problem that some have been experiencing.

(It applies just for the source code...

    (VB6) Virtual LED control

It simulates a LED (light emitting diode).

    Properties:

Color: Red/Green/yellow/Blue/White/Custom (the Custom color is defined from properties BorderColor, ColorOn and ColorOff)

    State:...

    Re: EXPAND THE IDE window

    Maximize.
Use SDI (Menu Tools, Options, Advanced, "SDI Development Environment", click OK, restart IDE).
  11. Re: Make a custom file preview handler and register it in Windows?

Good. It can be improved later. The label controls can be rendered as text, also according to the Alignment property.
TexBoxes can be a rectangle with white background (or the color of their...

    Re: LED.OCX & Windows 11 Pro

I made one but without caption.
It has antialias since it is based on ShapeEx that uses GDI+.

PS: Updated, I made a couple of adjustments.
  13. Re: Make a custom file preview handler and register it in Windows?

I think the idea is to make them look somewhat as they look in the designer window, not running (that can be anything).
So Visible properties should be ignored, since they are ignored in the...

    Re: LED.OCX & Windows 11 Pro

Are you running the IDE elevated (with admin rights)?
You need to run the IDE elevated to be able to register components.
  17. Re: (VB6) ColorDialog: a color dialog replacement

I checked and the OLEGuids.tlb file that I'm using is the latest available already.

This happens because you have the OLEGuids.tlb typelid registered and it is in some particular folder, but VB...

    Thank you fafalone.
  19. Re: [VB6] ScrollableContainer: a container (like a PictureBox) with scroll capability

Turned it into an OCX project now, so the people can choose between having the issues of using it in source code or having the issues of adding an OCX (it is that you need to add a dependency file).
  20. Re: Make a custom file preview handler and register it in Windows?

If it is possible, I think I'll experiment at some point.
It was something mostly "for fun", but I still think it can be interesting to be able to do such previews maybe for something more important...
  21. Re: (VB6) ColorDialog: a color dialog replacement

As I said, there is no reference to BSPrinter anywhere.

The reason why you cannot register the OCX might be because you made some compilation and deleted the OCX file, but didn't unregister it...
  22. Re: read/write to file binary unreadable

  23. Re: Disabling scrollbars of MSFlexGrid without disabling grid

You have the Scroll event in the grid. You can do one of two thing:
    1) Hide the textbox on scroll, the same as you do when another cell is clicked.
    2) Re position the textbox. You'll have to check...

    Re: VB6 with Sindhi Support

It must be that the font that you are using does not have the glyphs (characters) for that language.
Use a font that supports Sindhi.
  25. Re: (VB6) ColorDialog: a color dialog replacement

Of course, that's why I put them in a class module. They need to be public (to be used outside the ocx).

You must have another version registered of OLEGuids.tlb
    Well, I unticked from...

  27. Re: PLEASE explain me this part of code.... yks

  28. Re: How to display text for while and Text disappears as fade out

You could use a control that has opacity, like LabelPlus or sButton.

And timers to change the opacity.
  29. Re: Make a custom file preview handler and register it in Windows?

That was my idea, at least initially. Maybe later it could be enhanced a bit showing some controls better.
  30. Re: Make a custom file preview handler and register it in Windows?

Naa... that part was the fun part I wanted do do: to draw a mock-up of the form.

But if someone is going to...

First execute SETUP.EXE normally until you see the error. If it ask to restart, do it and run again.
Then, from the SETUP folder, copy VS98ENT.STF as acmsetup.stf (or it may be VB98ENT.STF)....
