  1. Re: [VB6] ActiveX VBFlexGrid (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

It would work in 32-bit Excel but not 64-bit Excel. At least until I finish porting it.
  2. Re: VB6 Locks up at breakpoint in Windows 10

I have the misfortune of having to work with VB6 in a professional capacity, not just as a developer among two dozen in the group, but as a buildmaster who sets up Jenkins on Windows Server 2019...
  3. Re: VB6 Locks up at breakpoint in Windows 10

I've been using VB6 under Windows 10 for several years without any issues. You do need to set the compatibility for XP and Run-as-Admin, but apart from that, it's straightforward.

    I followed the...
  4. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

Edit: I am trying to migrate both versions. I haven't added the bug fixes (but I will). I have a bunch of bugs from the migration I need to deal with, too.

I will migrate to the 1.5 versions when...
  5. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

The VBFlexGrid.NET project was launched with Office 64-bit specifically in mind. We have now migrated a 22-year-old Excel-based application to managed code, and need a replacement for the MSFLXGRD....

  12. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

It will be migrated to VB.NET and WinForms, and be 64-bit compatible. (VB6 ActiveX UI controls don't work with 64-bit processes.)
  13. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

With your permission, I will fork the GitHub project to a VBFLXGRD.NET open-source project (which we would be pleased to develop in parallel with the VBFLXGRD).
  14. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

    Thank you so much!
  15. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

My company is interested in using the VBFlexGrid to overcome issues with the MSFlexGrid which the posting in GitHub at https://github.com/Kr00l/VBFLXGRD seems to have addressed. We do not find or see...
  16. Re: VBFlexGrid Control (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

    Great work, Krool!

May we ask the licensing terms for this control?
  17. Re: [VB6] ActiveX VBFlexGrid (Replacement of the MSFlexGrid control)

I am trying to migrate a VB6 UserControl to managed code. The original control has a set of standard menus (File, Help, etc) which are merged in to the menu bar of its container form (an ordinary VB6...

Re: Visual Studio Code for VB6/VBA projects

Yes, Microsoft has been trying to choke off VB6 for many years now. Open-sourcing VB6 would counter that effort.
