I'm attaching image just in case not everybody's seen it.
Anyway, when "orange part" is active it uses anywhere between 75 and 100% of cpu.
Is there anything that can be done about it?
Thanks in advance.

You seem to have left out the attachment. I haven't seen the Ad, but based on the subject I suspect it is region specific.
As mentioned in several previous threads about Ad's, please also attach the source of the page, so that the relevant people can see the information they need.
I'm afraid I did, sorry. Here it is. I will upload the source if I come across that thing again.Quote:

It uses about an average of 15% on mine. I have been getting that ad alot too, almost every page. :( There is even a version of it in the footer ad.
Have a look at this image then.
I dont doubt you but 39mbs isnt much at all. Mine uses ~250-500mbs. IE 7. What version of the Flash plugin are you running?
It's the CPU usage I'm having a problem with - not Mbs.
It's not the size of the program that matters - rather how it's written and I'm sure you're well aware of that.
Yea, but what version of the Flash plugin are you running? Im running 9.0.0124 or 9.0 r124
Don't know (no flash based ads are palying) but few months ago did the update so it must be up to date (or close to latest anyway).
At any rate that shouldn't be the problem - it's the programmer that wrote some lousy loop.
Why would you need the ad displayed to determine your flash version?
Go to
?:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\Flash.ocx or Flashxx.ocx
Right click it > Properties > Details > File version
I only say this because so far you are the only one having this issue.
Rob, thanks for the effort but version is not an issue - other ads are fine.
Well without giving Brad all the possible information about your issue it just makes it harder for him to present a valid case back to the ad provider.
Anyways, Thanks. ;)
