Does anybody have a class for handling extremely big integers?
bigger than a Long?
In VB terms, a really big integer is only 32767 since that is the max it can go. You really need to tell us how large a number you want to hold.
Well bigger than 9350433046. And double won't work for me.
Because I am doing
param1 = param1 And &HFFFFFFFF
where param1 = 9350433046 and I get an overflow
Look:-
Unfortunately Double isn't big enough =(
Because double is not an integer, it's a floating point.
I basically need a 64bit integer that can't have decimals.
Come on somebody should be able to help me :(
From my understanding VB isn't going to like anything past 32 bits (longword). I've used other BASIC languages that handle quadwords, but they were 64-bit machines - so that makes sense.
Where are you getting this value from in the first place?
Can you take your "quadword" and map it into two "longwords" and work it that way?
