I wouldn't want one of those.. How can you have sex in the backseat if there isn't one? :D:D:D
*Ahem* In all seriousnes, I wouldn't want one of those... The first thing police look for to issue a speeding ticket to is a small red sports car... And I just don't like sports cars very much...
man! the chicks would be falling over themselves to get in the half-back seat with you!!
But if you ain't speedin' they can't bust ya...something like that is just for show when cruising around town anyway.
Ferrari's aren't "sports cars", they're "racing cars" :D

Ian,
Why's your car out in the middle of a desolate wasteland?
Ben - It's the picture the police took, once they found it, after I lost it whilst working up in manchester ;)

Hi
If money was no object then I would have more than 1 car:
I would have a McClarion F1 (can't be busted on GATSO's)
Westfield HypaBussa (Tiny car big bike motor)
Jag F Type (when it comes out)
The new Bugatti (1000bhp w12 top speed 250mph+, also when it comes out)
Old skool mini with 4wheel drive conversion and a mid mounted Cosworth engine, (p**s of the Ferrari owners!)
And a nice sencible family motor the Rover Extreme (500bhp 200mph) nice!
g
I want a low-rida!

Or the Dr. Dre car from Still DRE...heh.

Alternatively if a mini is a bit over protective and heavyweight one of these serious bits of kit ;)
http://fp.arcnet.f9.co.uk/kar120c.jpg
Mark - I don't think many pimps or drug-dealers have these - althought it might be useful to them as I've found that if you own an old British sports car the police never stop you (except to say "I've got one like that - have you sorted the cooling in traffic/earth leakage faults etc . . .") ;)
And for the city traffic :p http://www.hummer.com/h1/4dw/gallery/images/large1.jpg

Did someone mention Minis?
If you look inside the Cooper variants, there is a sort of plague in them (certainly on the new mini anyway), which contains the address of where they are made into Coppers...
...which is the very road I live on.
The first person to name that address wins a bag of fun dust...
If you don't happen to be near a mini, check out www.johncooper.co.uk instead ;)
That level crossing you can see in the background is the very one I cross almost daily (and get stuck at a lot more)
Man, you guys have the wierdest license plates :p
Who you referring to? British plates?
They take this format
A123 BCD. The "A" denotes the age of the vehicle. For example, G=1990/1991 H=1991/1992 J=1992/1993 and so on
The rest is a random sequence of 3 (sometimes 2) numbers, and 3 letters
You can also buy "personalised" plates, which can be things like your initials. For example, mine is W2 CJK (W is the age=2000, 2 is just 2, and CJK is my initials). That cost £700 by the way
You could have things like CHR 1S, or PEN 1S ( ;) ) or A1 DAN or whatever
They're changing the system anyways, soon it will be regional based.
Hasn't John Cooper just died? I seem to remember him falling out with BMW and being quoted as saying something like "New Mini's with the Cooper badge - over my dead body - and then he kicked the bucket".Quote:

I'll have a GTO please Bob:

Also found this while I was looking around - one of those "what does your xxxxx mean?" things, and this one's about cars: http://www.cobraforum.com/Forum1/HTML/006413.html
90 feeble horsepower from Cooper? I'm sure Oscelli used to do a 140 hp conversion for the Old Mini (and before any non-mini people scoff - remember this is a car that doesn't weigh much more than a big motorbike and has a center of gravity about 8 inches off the ground).Quote:

The Mini ONE has 90 "feeble" horsepower. The Mini copper will have 115, and a supercharged cooper will have like 160 or so.
And yes, he has just died, but his sone is carrying on with the company
I think the new plates may have already arrived, I saw a brand new Golf infront of me today with what looked like the new system. Could have been personalised of course.
I always thought the last three letters designated the area in which it was registered. e.g. GGE was a glasgow designation (along with lots of others letter combinations), MAN was the Isle of Man etc....Quote:

SD
2 Letters, 2 numbers, 3 letters.
The first 2 letters indicate where it was registered. The numbers stand for month and year I think. The letters are random, but *** isn't allowed.
the last 2 letters of the group of three indicate where it wasQuote:

SD
registered
eg X123ABC would be from Leicester
although you can also choose whatever 3 letters you want but it costs.
The new ones will be 2 Letters, 2 numbers, 3 letters metioned above the 2 numbers being a date code starting with 51 in September then 02 next March, 52 the following September and so on....
My M8 called Bob drives a GTO, how wierd is that.Quote:

G;)
In 1999 I had to write some software for use at Rover Longbridge and I used a tiled picture of the R50 (new MINI) as a background.
How was I to know BMW were going to make it at Cowley instead!
Luckily, I had included a facility to choose their own background otherwise they would be sick of the sight of it by now:D
Your mate Bob is a lucky bastard ;) I meant Bob as in the old presenter of Blockbusters, in case anyone wondered what I was on about.
I'll take one in black thanks.
The truly observant amongst us will have noticed the last three letters of my car reg (MNE) and therefore deduced that NE is Manchester.
Elementary, my dear Watson...

These Lamborghini LM s are quite good as well. They are pretty much the same size and weight as a Humvee but with about three times the power from an uprated Diablo/Countach engine. In the roadtest that I read they left a gaggle of hot hatchbacks (Golf GTI etc) standing both on the straigh and on twisty roads and on the off road section the chase car (which was a Landcruiser I think)was washed away by a river in Scotland that the LM forded without having to change down in gear.
Daaaaaaaaaamn that's good :)
