Yeah, in my email to John about this thread, I actually complained about this problem. I think that most of the newer members do not even know about ChitChat. I also suggested that he appoint (a) member(s) as moderator of the General Forum, as it has been getting a bit out of hand lately.

This kids constant advertising and long signiture pisses the f*** out of me but I found it best not to post about it. He's only 13 and not worth the time and the space to create a new thread. Advertising makes it unfair to the people who pay for their ads.
On the other hand, people could say they "want beta testers." this can lead to problems trying to distinguish whether people actually want beta testers, or whether they're trying to "sneak in" and advertise their software.

First: One of the major posts that he has been complained about advertising on is the Napster is Back thread. He did not start it with an intention to advertise, he simply stated that the new version of napster was out, then as a side note asked people to download his app. Everyone has said that he can just have it in his sig, and that is at the bottom of the post, so it is as good as in his sig. I think that you all are attacking him just because hes 13 and can't defend himself with a six figure income. Instead I think you should congradulate him, how many of you think that you could have made an app as good as his when you were 13, im 14 and i can't even come close to being able to do something like this.
BTW i know i sounded childish with all the four letter words in all my other posts, so i would like to say sorry to anyone i offended, but no one ever listens to me unless i swear a lot.

Skitchen8... I tend to help here more then I write apps unfortunitally, but I found you learn more by helping here then by actually making your own apps. Anyway, I'm a US Army Reserve (can't be Active until I'm 18) so all the programs I write are for them... I do not program for my own use. As for you and smash, both of you kiddie wanna-bes can go to hell :)

I write database and security apps for them. You can't be Active Army until you're 18. You can join the reserves through delayed entry when you're 16 & 1/2 though, which is what I did. You also get to pick your job... in my case I work with computers.Quote:
