I spent most of the weekend going to parties after watching my daughter perform in a play in Los Angeles for the first time....big stuff...she even had lines!!!!!!!!
Anyway....now I'm sitting here feeling pickled and tired and even a little queasy....why do we do this to ourselves?
I think the object is to earn money :) Not sure though...I do it for fun :)
I was thinking more of why do we spend all weekend pickling ourselves when we know that we will have to get up Monday and try to "earn" our money when it hurts to move our eyeballs?
Because we're all masochists :eek:
Although I normally do my messing around on saturday so I can sleep all sunday...once I spent all weekend drinking and when we got to school we were still pissed and felt really bad...never done it since! :)
I was feeling pretty happy and not too bad this morning when I first got up but I guess I'm fully awake now.....damn it!

When I was at college, one time (at band camp... err or not) when a load of us had gone off to the park to hang out for a couple of hours between classes (it was mid summer) one guy, who was kind of a gimp if you know what I mean, decided he was going to go and buy an 8-pack of Strongbow. So he went off to the shop, came back and gave a couple of cans away, then proceeded to drink all 6 remaining cans of cider in the space of around an hour and a half. It was sunny, so the cans were warm too.
Most of us had to go back for classes, including me. I went back and was sitting in class, and after about 10 minutes this guy came in late. My mate next to me (it was Jamagei actually) said "Rob, why are you green?" (Rob was the cider drinker guy) but Rob didn't seem to take much notice. He went and sat down looking a little ill, and after about another 5 minutes, while sitting with his face in his arms, which were folded on the table, projectile vomited into his arms, with spew streaming out to his sides where his arms were directing the flow. It was a sight to behold. He had puke in both eyebrows. It was everywhere.
It was also very, very funny ;)
The moral of the story: people are the best source of comedy there is. There's probably a better moral, but that's the only one I take any notice of :rolleyes:

I'm glad too :) I'll make sure to let you know when I get horrendously drunk and do stupid things next. Well actually I probably won't remember them. Jamagei probably will though, since he has so much extra body mass to distribute the alcohol ;) so I'm sure he'll let you know if you ask nicely.
I'm not sure he would after I submarined his Jamagei Club thread...you'll just have to do your own confessing.

could it be that we, as humans, don't learn from our mistakes? And it is always, "I won't drink as much as last time, it will just be 1 or 2 and then I'll stop" then those tasted so good it leads to more and more, then the next thing you know you are creating amusement for Harry :)

Also l generally note that the evening is winding down when l cannot drink beer anymore. Of course l then switch to scotch. But generally speaking ya talking the last few hours of the evening.

Behemoth and I have had some pretty hefty evenings when I think about it.
We've had some memorable ones, like the evening with the vodka jelly. It had so much alcohol in it, it took over a week to set. Nice. And the obligatory BeerHenge that we once tried to make. Fanstastic!
I'm blessed in as far as I never wake up with a hangover. I always leap out of bed, open the curtains and sing to the world. Gives the neighbours a shock anyway.

Jamagei - no not yet unfortunately, but there aren't many places that sell peephole bras in my size. I've been trying to find a place that will plait all my chest hair and put little frilly bows on, but every time I go and enquire somewhere, they say the'yre just going to go and find out for me, and every time while I'm waiting, I get hauled out by some burly men who seem to confuse me with someone they've been told to remove. I mean it's quite enjoyable obviously, but it's not doing anything for the chest mullet.
I'm the same, I always feel terrible the morning after the night before. There's only one cure, the sausage and egg McMuffin, but that does mean getting to McD's before 10:30 am.
